Our team Wolve’Z held a Water Rocket Experimental Class to over 50 elementary kids around the campus to raise the next-generation Aerospace Engineer on 8th of October 2016. Next year, more than 100 elementary kids came to the event. This project was supported and funded by JAXA (Japan Aerospace eXploration Agency).
We planned, managed and executed this event with a team of 15 members. I took part in visiting 4 neighboring elementary schools to deliver an invitation speech at the school assembly and preparing/delivering a lecture at the event.
At first, we gave them a small lecture on rockets including an overview of recent rocket development and its mechanism but focused on explaining as simple as possible. To make them keep interested, sooner we started the class to build water rocket.
